“Glen” Michael Blair is the multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer behind Glenwood Crowe. Since 2015, he has self-produced 4 full-length albums and countless other projects from his home studio in Phoenix. After releasing
his second Glenwood Crowe album, Searching For Service, he quit his job teaching music to drive around the country making a YouTube documentary: Hiking With Glen. Before finishing the tour, a one month stint at Standing Rock and a life-changing encounter with Neil Young became the major influence for a new project: Snacks For The Revolution, Vol 1 & 2. These 2 albums albums were much more politically-minded than the flagship records and featured new collaborations with saxophonist Ted Taforo, trumpeter Garrett Klein (Dallas Brass), Airrose (“My Voice is Power”) and even a crowd of close friends singing “nanana’s” at his 29th birthday party.
In 2019, after making a series of live looping videos as Mister Blair (a second artist name used primarily for kids songs and jam tracks for students), he won a contest put on by Vochlea’s Dubler Studio Kit which gave him the opportunity to have the Glenwood Crowe single “Be What You Are” mastered at Abbey Road Studios. Coincidentally, the first album, One, which had no political undertones at all, will be turning 5 years old on Election Day, November 3rd.
